CRAASH Barcelona is a Biocat’s Program that facilitates the acceleration of healthcare innovations towards commercialization and clinical practice.
From September till December 2022, a team of ISGlobal and BioEclosion researchers from EChiLiBRiST consortium will attend the CRAASH Barcelona. The CRAASH Program, with a hybrid format that combines face-to-face and virtual sessions, is aimed at Catalan startups and projects related to the field of medical devices, digital health or diagnostics and focuses on validating and bringing technologies to the market in the next 3-5 years. Expert mentors from all over Europe and from CIMIT will accompany the selected projects during the three months of the program.
The EChiLiBRiST participants, Dra. Bàrbara Baro, Dr. Pere Millat, Dra. Sara Ajanovic and Dr. Arnau Pallarès, will validate the business model behind EChiLiBRiST’s point-of-care test, through the accompaniment of a mentor and a hundred interviews that they will carry out with EChiLiBRiST’s stakeholders. In addition, they will analyze how EChiLiBRiST’s point-of-care test fits into the most relevant ecosystems in Europe and the United States (aside of the primary goal of reaching low-and middle-income countries). The team will also receive master classes about Intellectual Property, Regulatory, Market Acess and Business Economics, among others. Finally, they will work on a pitch for investors that will be evaluated by all mentors at the end of the Program.
